B.O.A.T. as we all know stands for Break Out Another Thousand and that’s just about every couple months it seems. One thing that can cut down on those expenses is proper maintenance and upkeep. Perhaps at the top of that list is oil changes. To make sure I don’t have to continually break out another thousand, I trust my general maintenance to Bryan’s Marine, the Miss-Lou's Boat Center since 1986. I dropped my Skeeter off around 8:30 Tuesday morning after making the appointment the week before with the service department. In addition to dropping off the boat with the service team, I left them with a few requests about how to treat my most prized possession!

I was told it would be ready around noon and not to worry. I spent the day driving to Monroe and picking up a few things for fishing, like a new graph for the console. Just as they projected I got a call around noon saying my boat was ready and I could pick it up whenever I wanted.
I picked the Skeeter up around 2 that same afternoon and was happy to take care of the very reasonable bill. A simple transaction for a service you might say, but it was more than just that. It was service with a smile and a handshake, just like the good ole days.
I for one certainly appreciate the hometown service you get in a small family ran business and enjoy the opportunity to spend money by “buying local”, whether be for goods, or services.
